That's Okay, I didn't mind to delay one hour, two hours or even longer time. We didn't rush to Shikoku. The flight eventually landed at Takamatsu airport at about 15:45.
We went to the counter at the airport to buy the bus tickets to Takamatsu station. The small town scene was quite attractive. The peace and silence were precious.
My mind was full of relaxation, "What will I encounter in Shikoku?" I thought at that moment. We went to the ticketing office in Takamatsu station for taking our JR Railway Passes. Those passes saved us at least 15,000 yen in this six-day journey. If we didn't travel with them, we couldn't afford to visit four prefectures in Shikoku.
It was at 18:45, we were very hungry. We tried to find a nice restaurant in the mall inside the train station. "We should check the timetable first, then decide which train service we should take to Matsuyama." My son said. One train service was available at about 19:50, the arrival time was 22:20. I preferred to have dinner before taking the train, so I said "We will have sufficient time for dinner if we take the train at 21:10, we will arrive in Matsuyama at about 23:40. Also, it just takes a 10-minute walk to the Hotel MyStay. It should be alright." But I forgot to say, "If everything will be going smoothly."
Thus, we had dinner at a Japanese food restaurant located in the mall. The waitress was pretty and friendly. Her pleasant smile face gave me a deep impression. We all ordered fried pork Udon with curry soup in Japanese style. It was tasty, I drank up the soup as well.
We finished our simple dinner in 45 minutes. We still had spare time. So, we wandered to the nearby piers. I and my son heard a kind of weird sounds which made us associated with many monsters roaring together.
"Are those monsters suffering pains? They cannot endure anymore, so, they were roaring loudly. What will they do if they are able to escape from their current place? Will they do something to harm the world in return?" I and my son tried to find out where was the sound from, the sounds were from those piers. There are three long and large concrete piers which were floating on water, waves kept pushing them to wag and sound. The environment was silent, the wave sound, wagging sound plus echo all mixed together to become the monster roaring effect. It was quite terrible to hear such kind of sounds at night. I originally wanted to film this bizarre scenery but I really didn't dare to do it, I was scared!
